EUROZONE, EUROPEAN CRISIS AND ECB POLICY RESPONSES

Abstract
The ECB policy measures are analysed since the outbreak of the financial crisis. First, categorisation of the measures implemented by the ECB is made. Second, the phases of the crises and the concrete policy responses are studied. The effectiveness of the ECB’s monetary policy by analysing its impact on increase of monetary aggregates and the money multiplier in the post crises phase is discussed.
