Evaluating the Effectiveness of In-service Training of the Educational Staff based on Kirkpatrick's Model

Abstract

This research investigates and evaluates the effectiveness of in-service training of Ardebil province's ministry of training based on Kirkpatrick's model based on Kirkpatrick's model. This research is a descriptive survey type. The statistical population of this research are 260 staffs of Ardebil province's ministry of training who participated in in-service trainings in May 2014. The sample volume was equal to 152 people according to Morgan's table. The method is simple random sampling. To collect data, the field method with questionnaire survey tool containing 43 questions were used. The reliability of the questionnaire was validated by the experts' opinions. Its durability was estimated to be 0.98 according to Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The data analysis was done in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. After confirmation of the normal distribution of research data, the single sample test was used for investigating the research components. The data analysis was done via SPSS20 software. According to the results of single sample t-test, the effectiveness of in-service training of the staffs of ministry of training in Kirkpatrick's four levels, i.e. reaction, learning, change of behavior, and results was verified.
