Evaluation of Iranian wheat cultivars Reaction to Septoria Tritici Blotch and virulence Survey of Mycosphaerella graminicola in Khuzestan province

Abstract
Septoria tritici blotch is an important wheat disease in many areas of the world including Iran's warm, humid regions.Evaluation the reaction of wheat genotypes and on the other hand Identifying pathogen virulence factors are necessary for a successful breeding program. In this study, reaction some wheat genotypes were evaluated to septoria leaf blotch (STB) in adult plant stage under artificial inoculation in field condition of Khuzestan province. commercial varieties evaluated to Septoria Tritici Blotch in four year from 2008-09 to2011-12 and results show that most Iranian wheat cultivars are susceptible to STB even some durum varieties and new cultivars like Parsi. Although chamran cultivar with the highest area under cultivation is resistant.To determine the pathogenicity genetics of Mycosphaerella graminicola, 18 genotypes carrying resistance genes was evaluated during three yearsfr0m 2009-10 to 2011-12. Finally Estanzuela Federal (CarryingStb7), M6synth (W7984)( CarryingStb8) , KavkazK4500(CarryingStb6, Stb7, Stb10 and Stb12) ,Shafir(CarryingStb6), Courtot(CarryingStb9) and Salamouni(Carrying Stb13 and Stb14) cultivar and lines showed susceptibility.
