EVALUATION OF PORK COMPETITIVENESS IN THE MEAT MARKET

Abstract

Pork is a system-forming branch of the country's economy. After all, the economic, social and environmental conditions of the development of rural territories depend on its development. The analysis of the market for pig products shows that in recent years there have been radical changes that are associated with a significant decrease in the number of pigs. As a result, the volume of pork production decreased in 2015 by 816 thousand tons compared with 1990. The construction of the market for pig products requires scientifically sound actions, the main of which is the strategic focus on saturation with its competitive pork in connection with the challenges of the domestic and foreign markets. Scientific substantiation requires, in particular, strategic directions for the formation of a competitive development of the industry, where a special place should take the issue of creating effective integration relations in the meat product subcomplex and mechanisms for regulating the competitive development of the pig industry.
