Evaluation of sowing date effect on hybrid rice lines production in dry-bed of Khuzestan

Abstract

In order to evaluate the response to planting date in rice hybrids Line dry method of working, was carried out an experiment in a randomized complete block design with three replications at the Agricultural Research Station, Agriculture and Natural Resources Research Center of Khuzestan Shavuor. Planting dates were including 5, 15 and 25 July in the main plots and Hb2 lines and hybrid Hb1 in the sub plots. Results showed traits were significantly affected by planting date. So that delayed planting was leading to reduced evaluated traits in Hb1 and Hb2 hybrids. The best results were related to planting date July 5. Hybrids examined were significant effect on panicle length, fertility percentage, dry matter and harvest index. Mentioned traits was more in hybrid Hb2 than Hb1. Interaction of planting date and hybrid lines were also significantly affected on some traits such as panicle length, number of branches per panicle, number of filled grains per panicle, fertility percentage, dry matter and harvest index. The highest harvest index and total dry matter was obtain of the interaction of planting date 5 July and Hybrid Hb2 and lowest 25 July and Hybrid Hb1.
