Abstract
This discussion paper aims to address issues inherent in the development of information sources related to the media and media and information developed over time by humans. Besides the organization of knowledge records is fundamental to access sources of information past, present and those still in development, related primarily by the convergence of information and communication technologies. The guiding element of the article discusses the sources of information in printed, electronic and multimedia reflects on the librarian’s role in guiding users to get access to and use of information sources.
