EVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT COLLECTIVE INVESTMENT INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
History of Collective Investment Institutions (CII) development is investigated in this study from the first prototypes of investment funds to the current state. Special attention is paid to the points of bifurcation – moments, when there were cardinal changes in CII markets and new forms replaced familiar constructions. Basic factors that influenced the development in one or another direction are determined.
