Exact Controllability in Oblique Gridworks Structures
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2015, Vol 12, Issue 1
Abstract
The article studies the problem of the exact internal controllability on a gridwork structure that depends on two small parameters ε and δ . The controll is provided by the HUM method (Hilbert Uniqueness Method). We apply the homogenization methods: the energetic method of Tartar and the dilatation method. The limit problem is a problem of vibrations on a rectangle which is controlled by the limit of the control.

Friction Pendulum Dampers for Earthquake Isolated Structural Systems
Base isolation systems have become a significant element of a structural system to enhance reliability during an earthquake. One type of base isolation system is Friction Pendulum Dampers in which the superstructure is i...
Dynamic Isolation in Case of an Elastic Supported Viaduct
The dynamic modeling, aims to analyze the dynamic behaviour of the viaduct to external actions from the road traffic and / or seismic movements. The analytical expressions of pulsation, frequency and of the eigenvectors...
Improvement of Acoustic and Thermal Comfort by Turning Waste into Composite Materials
This paper presents research on developing new types of composite materials with sound absorbing and thermal insulating properties, in order to improve the acoustic and thermal comfort of an enclosure. Thus, in order to...
Linear Motion Profile Generation using a Danaher Thomson Actuator with Ball Screw Drive
A Danaher Thomson linear actuator with ball screw drive is used here to generate vibrations in the 1-3 Hz frequency range. More precisely, the linear motion profile corresponding to the vertical displacements induced und...
Industrial Noise Mapping – Support of an Anti-Noise Protection Program
The paper shows an approach to noise problems for an installation belonging to a complex industrial plant, containing noise sources located at different heights. A proper digital modeling of the relevant elements in term...
