EXAMINATION OF THE EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION IN THE POLITICAL SUB-DISTRICT OF THE SPECIAL PURPOSE OF "KORD"

Abstract

The features of manifestations of the "emotional burnout" syndrome in the police units of the special police of the "KORD" of the National Police of Ukraine (n = 495) were investigated. The peculiarities of selection, verification and special training of candidates for service in the special police unit of the "KORD" of the National Police of Ukraine are described. The theoretical analysis of the research of the problem of the syndrome of professional and emotional burnout of law enforcement officers is carried out. The content, symptoms and factors of the formation and development syndrome of "emotional burnout" are disclosed. The main results of the empirical research on the methodology of V. Boyko concerning the formation of symptoms, phases and the level of the "emotional burnout" syndrome in the police units of the special purpose police "KORD" of the National Police of Ukraine are shown. It was found that the phases of "emotional burnout" from the police special forces are not formed, and the syndrome is not characteristic. Respondents do not show signs of burnout or stress. The "resistivity" phase is at the stage of formation in almost 10% of respondents as counteracting stressful influences. The respondents have enough emotional and physical resources, and in a short period of time they can quickly recover. In cases of growing stressful effects, respondents are trying to overcome these symptoms. Qualitative professional psychological selection and professional psychological training are the basis of successful professional activity of the police special division of the "KORD" police of the National Police of Ukraine. A timely diagnosis of the syndrome of emotional burnout, the introduction of effective preventive measures will reduce the level of burnout of police officers and counteract their professional deformation, which, in turn, will positively affect the quality performance of police units of special purpose assigned to them duties of protection of Ukrainian citizens.
