The research showed that the existential consciousness of Oles Gonchar is realized in such cross-cutting existences as: "pain of loss", "anxiety", "despair", "fear", "loneliness", "alienation", "metaphysical rebel- lion", “choice”, "death“ and so on. The existential reflections of Olesya Terentyevich’s soul were also reflected in a constant intense struggle against the absurdity of life being (particularly in the context of war and creative discourse), moral responsibility for all his actions and destiny during the life, as well as in increased sensitivity, lyricism, attention to spiritual issues (particularly religiosity).
