Exotic feminine personal names among modern anthroponymic preferences of inhabitants of Odessa region

Abstract
The article dwells upon linguistic interpretation of one of the main classes of anthroponyms – personal names that function in common usage of the Ukrainian in Odessa region. Anthroponyms are studied from the sociolinguistic point of view; not really used words are analyzed but the words that people prefer as well as the words that are subjectively considered to be the best. The primary focus is on rarely used female names and the reasons of their unpopularity are analyzed. The research of the modern anthroponymic preferences allows finding out social importance of names and their role in the national anthroponymic fund enrichment.
