Experimental and Mathematical Analysis of Thermoelectric Refrigeration System: A Review.

Abstract

The thermoelectric effect is the direct conversion of temperature differences to electric voltage and vice versa. A thermoelectric device creates voltage when there is a different temperature on each side. The term thermoelectric effect includes three separately identified effects: the Seebeck effect, Peltier effect, and Thomson effect. The main objective of the current review study to improve the efficiency and lower the manufacturing cost of thermoelectric refrigeration system. A comparative study through the literature of the various experimental and mathematical model of thermoelectric refrigeration system in which various parameters like thermal performance, thermal characteristics and coefficient of performance are discussed. Studies shows that there is a huge scope of research in this field about thermoelectric refrigeration system and heat sink design.
