Experimental Study on Cleaning Device of Peanut Pods

Abstract

The peanut pods cleaning device was mainly composed of collecting light impurities device and separating stems device.The former used the cross-flow fan to remove light impurities from the peanut mixture by inhaling, and the latter used double rollers to separate stems from peanut pods based on the differences between shape and dimension of peanut pods and stems.The peanut pods cleaning device had the advantages of low loss and low impurity rate.A new type of peanut pods cleaning device test-bench was designed based on the above structure and principle. The influence of structure motion parameters on cleaning performance were studied through laboratory test, and the optimal combination of parameters was obtained. The results show that when the cross-flow fan speed is 920 r/min, the distance between sliding plate and fan impeller is 100 mm, the width of discharging exit is 50 mm, the gap between double rollers is 2 mm, the separation roller speed is 300r/min, and the angle between separating device and horizontal plane is 35°, the performance of peanut pods cleaning device is best with the impurity rate of 0.89% and the cleaning loss rate of 0.62%. All of the results meet the requirements of the industry standard.
