FACTORS AFFECTING PROFESSIONAL SELF-IDENTITY IN MARKET ECONOMY

Abstract

The problem of professional self-identity has been analyzed in the paper. It has been determined to provide voca-tional guidance familiarization with the content and prospects of jobs, forms and terms of competition, the state and labor market needs in personnel, requirements for the individual professions, vocational qualification opportunities of the devel-opment. The Preparatory school, where students receive a wide range of information on specialties, meet with teachers and get to know the material and technical base, has been considered to be the influential factor on vocational guidance.The author describes personal and psychological, social and economic contradictions related to professional self-determination of young people in a market economy. There have been presented the results of the survey of the first-year students of Vinnytsia National Technical University, which aims to determine the level of professional orientation of students to study in the chosen field.
