FACTORS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATIONAL CULTURE OF PEDAGOGY IN A GENERAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Abstract

The article clarified the importance and specific features of informational culture of a teacher in a general education institution and analyzed conditions and factors related to its development. Information culture is important for every teacher. The teacher must understand the role he can play in the shaping of student’s personality as a person in the information civilization. The informational culture of students must be formed by the teacher who mastered his own informational culture. Therefore, the development and enhancement of a teacher’s informational culture is a problem of paramount importance with the pedagogical professionals being the key figures in the formation of informational culture of young people who pursue higher education. Also, it has become a priority for secondary schools to cultivate a taste to the systematic application of information and communication as well as innovative pedagogical technologies, multimedia, and the Internet in everyday life. Unfortunately, little attention is paid to the development of informational culture of a teacher in a secondary education institution; there is no an effective model for the managing informational culture formation in the new social conditions.
