FACTORS OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF COAL MINING ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The coal industry is one of the basic branches of the national economy. Against the backdrop of global trends in increasing the efficiency of the use of natural resources, the growth of competitiveness of domestic coal mining enterprises should occur in the context of improving the energy efficiency of production. The activities of coal-mining enterprises depend on a large number of specific internal and external factors, the classification and analysis of which will make it possible to systematically approach the solution of the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of mines. Factors influencing the energy efficiency of the coal mining enterprise are investigated in this article. Features of the external and internal environment for the operation of coal-mining enterprises are considered. Groups of environmental factors: political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, natural-climatic are analysed. The nature of the effect on the energy efficiency of the mine of the most significant factors is considered in detail, in particular, inflationary processes, changes in the exchange rates of major currencies, the state’s tax policy, the level of innovation and technological development, low utilization, the introduction and transfer of coal mining technologies, the level of state support to coal-mining enterprises, the level of vocational training and industrial culture of workers, mining and geological conditions, the depth of work, the stability of side rocks of coal seams, the unevenness of soil and roofing of coal seams, water cut, high outgassing from the reservoir and the surrounding rocks, spontaneous combustion of coal, ore and geological disorders, etc.). From the point of view of influence on energy efficiency, objective and subjective factors of the internal environment of the coal mining enterprise are grouped. The main aspects of the production process of the mine are analysed. Groups of factors arising from the peculiarities of the production process that have the greatest impact on the operation of enterprises of coal production and an increase of its efficiency, in particular, the level of coverage, especially for preparatory works and coal production, production staff, the state of the fixed assets, are revealed.
