Fatigue testing structural steel as a factor of safety of technical facilities maintenance

Journal Title: Production Engineering Archives - Year 2013, Vol 0, Issue 1

Abstract

Guarantee of quality and safety exploitation of machines and equipment is a significant factor in the design and manufacture of these compo-nents. This paper presents an analysis of fatigue test results of samples in the bending load on the rotation in the range from 104 to 107 ,the number of cycles of applied load, with a frequency of 40 Hz. Whöler curve shows the results of the fatigue properties of steel S355J2 which is used in the construction of vehicles. There was also carried out a fractographic analysis.
