Fatty acids in vegetable oils and their importance in cosmetic industry

Abstract
Among the important skin care products are those that contain an occlusive lipids acting on the epidermis, inhibiting transepidermal water loss and to support the synthesis of lipids. The important lipids are fatty acids, especially essential fatty acids involved in the formation of proper intercellular cement. The following will discuss the fatty acids found in vegetable oils and their importance in cosmetics.
