FEATURES AND TRENDS OF CATEGORY MANAGEMENT OF TRADE ENTERPRISES

Abstract

Categorical management in this case becomes the basis of the management of the trade company: to achieve these goals, all the subdivisions and business processes of the companies are directed. Thus, the categorical manager is responsible for taking decisions and obtaining the maximum economical effect. Categorical management can be implemented both by the readers and by the producers. Domestic and foreign scholars have covered a number of issues related to the new management concept – categorical management. But most often in research papers, categorical management is reduced to a general description of its characteristics and future benefits from the introduction into the activities of enterprises. However, insufficient attention is paid to studying the essence of the object of management in categorical management, therefore, in the context of solving the problems of introducing categorical management into the practice of domestic retail research, the essence of the object of management is extremely important. The purpose of the article is to clarify the essence and trends of the object of management in categorical management based on the analysis of works of foreign and domestic scientists taking into account the peculiarities of the activity of enterprises of trade. Categorical management, as a strategic cooperation between the retail operator and the provider, within which the parties manage the category as a strategic unit, can achieve a category growth (increased sales and profits) through a set of actions targeting the buyer.
