Features of the methodology of predictive research in practical religious studies

Abstract
The article emphasizes and justifies the urgency of creating a new direction in practical religious studies – forecasting of religious processes. The scientific-categorical apparatus of practical religious studies is being improved through the definition of new concepts suggested in the article. The peculiarities and specificity of predictive researches in this field are determined on the basis of comparative analysis of forecasting in other spheres of humanitarian science. The methodological arsenal of forecasting in the religious sphere is systematized and the possibilities and limitations of its application in predicting religious processes are determined
