Financial exclusion and counteracting entities: A case study based on a Polish market analysis

Abstract
This article presents the nature of financial exclusion and the activity of entities which counteract it. At the beginning of the article, different definitions of financial exclusion were listed together with their causes and consequences. Subsequently, the author describes the activity of microfinance institutions and postal networks providing financial services. The last part of the article includes an analysis of the mentioned entities and their activity in the Polish market in 2014. The special purpose of this survey is the comparison of effectiveness in financial inclusion processes.
