Folk-instrument music playing in Halychyna in the period of german occupation

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to emphasize leading aspects of national instrumental art functioning in the Galician lands, to compare them with one in Eastern Ukrainian territories. The review demonstrates a diversity of functioning of folk-instrumental art in Galicia during the Second World War, in particular in the conditions of occupation. It replaced folk and entertaining function of the performing tradition, but instead, became an expression of the national basis and cohesion in realization of artistic intentions of community in conditions of amateur collective music inherent in the regional tradition instruments. All this prepares a powerful foundation for further processes oif professionalization and academization folkinstrumental art on the lands of Galicia
