Abstract

The author presents the main documents and standards adopted at an international and European level with regard to food safety, as well as their correlation with the concept of social responsibility of companies. Also, the importance of quality standards for products and services is demonstrated, as well as the importance of a competent management for a responsible economic behaviour and a durable development of the society.
