Abstract
The article examines the evolution of the development of regulatory and legal support for state regulation and control in the sphere of trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in Ukraine, examines the historical stages of its formation in national legislation, establishes interrelations and patterns of its formation, which is of particular importance as mechanisms for developing effective ways to improve public policy in this area.
