THEORETICAL-METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF DEFINITION OF THE CONCEPT “REGIONAL POLICY”

Abstract
The article deals with the interpretation of the concept of “regional policy” by foreign and domestic scientists. The scientific definition of the category “region” is generalized. The author reveals the socio-economic essence and importance of regional policy. The article deals with the main tasks, directions and principles of regional policy of Ukraine. An analogy with the standards of European regional policy has been carried out.
