Abstract
The urgency of the problem of the public policy environment is substantiated. The main methodological approaches to the consideration of the public policy environment are outlined. The author's vision of the mechanism of the impact of the components of the environment on the process of elaborating public policy is presented. Conducted a contextual analysis of the concept of the mechanism.
