Forms of government forecasts as the actual problem of the state strategic planning

Abstract
The main type of state forecasts is considered. According to the Law of Ukraine “On State Forecasting and programs and the development of economic and social development of Ukraine” developed forecasts only medium and short term in Ukraine. The example of longterm forecasting in European Union, which consist some probable scenarios is analyzed.
