Functional Dyspepsia and Irritable Bowel Syndrome: What Is Similar?

Abstract
The article presents the analysis of main functional diseases of digestive system — functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome. There was shown the similarity of pathogenic factors of these diseases. Besides traditional factors (motility disorders, visceral hypersensitivity), the special attention was paid to relatively new factors (gastrointestinal infection, minimal inflammation of mucosa, disorders of mucosa permeability etc). The attention was attracted to frequent over-lap of these diseases.
