Gastroenterological Care for Ukraine Population: Main Health Indicators and Provision of Resources in 2011

Abstract
The article presents the characteristics of main health indicators of the population (prevalence, morbidity) in terms of chronic digestive diseases. There were analyzed the quantitative and qualitative components of gastroenterological care. The activity of diagnostic sector and its resources support were shown. The obtained results showed the necessity for working out the directions for optimization of specialized gastroenterological care for Ukraine population and may be used for performing the social and organizational strategy of health care in part of gastroenterology.
