The Content of NO Metabolites in the Gastric Juice of Patients with Chronic Reflux Gastritis
Journal Title: Гастроентерологія - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 54
Abstract
To estimate the role of nitro compounds in pathogenesis of gastric mucosa lesion, the gastric juice concentrations of nitrites and nitrates have been investigated in 65 patients with chronic reflux gastritis. Their marked increase has been detected in the most of patients, especially in atrophic and dysplastic changes in patients with duodenogastric reflux against the background of postcholecystectomy syndrome. Pathological concentrations of nitrates and nitrites in the gastric juice are tightly associated with the H.pylori infection, increase in the biliary acids level, hypergastrinemia. This can play an important role in the development and progression of chronic reflux gastritis and gastrocancerogenesis.
