ГЕНДЕРНИЙ РОЗРИВ В ОПАНУВАННІ STEM ПРЕДМЕТІВ: ПРИЧИНИ ТА ШЛЯХИ ПОДОЛАННЯ

Abstract
Здійснено обґрунтування необхідності розвитку гендерної рівності в рамках STEM освітнього простору, подолання гендерних стереотипів, які впливають на мотивацію в навчанні та стають психологічною перепоною в самореалізації індивіда. Розглянуто можливі шляхи подолання гендерної прогалини в залученні дівчат в опануванні STEM професій. Висвітлено переваг для освітнього середовища та майбутнього підвищення адаптивності молодих спеціалістів на ринку праці, завдяки психологічним інтервенціям спрямованим на гендерну соціалізацію учнів. Our country is making steep steps towards intensive development, introducing STEM education into the educational process. The state educational policy considers directions of education development in the world community and is aimed at strengthening the scientific and experimental direction in educational activities. It is grounded the substantiation of the need for the development of gender equality within the framework of the STEM educational space, the elimination of gender stereotypes, which influence the motivation in education and become a psychological obstacle in the individual’s self-realization. Possible ways to overcome the gender gap in involving girls in mastering STEM professions are considered. The advantages for the educational environment and future increase of the adaptability of young specialists in the labor market, due to psychological interventions aimed at students’ gender socialization are highlighted. It is obvious that the expansion of students’ outlook, teachers’ awareness and the adherence to the principles of gender education in the broadest sense of this term can lead to a more equal future for today’s students. In order to reduce the impact of gender stereotypes on students’ motivation, a new outlook, deprived the hierarchy between men and women, create a gender-balanced environment in an educational institution, and a gender component in the method of education and training, which form the basis of gender socialization, should be taken into account. The advantages for the educational environment and the future increase of the adaptability of young specialists in the labor market, due to psychological interventions aimed at the gender socialization of students have been identified. A poll of students from an educational institution was conducted to determine the relevant factors that are a key to choosing the format and direction of the curriculum. Stereotyped forms of attitude towards education in the form of prejudices are singled out.
