EXAMPLES OF POLISH WEBSITES, DATABASES AND RESOURCES IN THE INTERNET From the beginning of the 21st century the Internet has become both a tool for communicating people interested in genealogy and a network where they can present their findings. It has also enabled a creation of a number of projects that in the virtual space gather an increasing number of genealogical data. What is more, the sources of data that are very valuable for researchers are name indexes and computer scans of metrics or civil status. Such databases have been gradually enlarged. In the future they are to cover all the primary sources of genealogical research.
