GENESIS OF THE CONCEPT OF LEGAL PROGRESS: PHILOSOPHICAL AND LEGAL FRAMEWORKS

Abstract
The article is devoted to the presentation of ideas about legal progress in different historical periods. The approaches of different scholars to the definition of the category “legal progress” and its dependence on social and social progress are analyzed. A close connection is established between the understanding of the essence of progress and the understanding of human freedom and the development of humanistic ideas.
