GEOSTRATEGIC ASPECTS OF SPATIAL POSITIONING OF REGIONS OF THE SOUTH OF RUSSIA

Abstract
The article analyzes the priority tasks of the development of geo-strategically important territories of Russia in the context of the Draft Project of the Strategy for Spatial Development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025. The necessity of including of the regions of the Southern Federal District in the number of territories with the geostrategic significance, which are important in ensuring national, economic and food security at the macro and meso levels, is substantiated.
