Abstract

Abstract In this study, the globalization of the universities in Turkey aimed to determine the effects of geography academics. 2009-2010 academic year of study, in the fall semester, department of geography and geography teacher in the universities of Turkey academics participated in a total of 60 scholars. General screening model is used as a tool of research, data collection, Gümüş-Ilhan (2009) developed by the scale used. The data is analyzed with factor analysis and variance and t-test. Scheffe test is applied to the case of significant differences. According to the results of the research staff of assistant professor is seen as a significant build-up. English is widely understood among academics, foreign language. In Learning in Western Europe and the United States' importance to scholars overseas boiler is understood. Intensively monitored developments in the field of geography has emerged over the Internet. Foreign scholars participating in the research departments of universities, geography sufficient academic studies (such as a guest lecturer.) Are determined are not on. Scholars in international professional journals published by SCI and SSCI journals publishing / broadcasting is seen that there are insufficient. International symposium of academics significantly / congress proceedings (in the book of papers published) publication / publications they have understood.
