Governmentality and what next?: Farewell to Foucault. Governmentality and social work

Abstract
In this paper a critical analysis of the governmentality concept by Foucault is being undertaken from the perspective of social pedagogy. Particularly, the capacity of the concept to fund a model of action is to be analysed in the field of: emancipatory social work, personalized practice, social work education, coproduction of knowledge, non-economic definition of social problems. Finally, two possible paths to the construction of social work practice are outlined: one based on the critically generalized concept of governmentality<br/><br/>
