GREEN TOURISM AS ENVIRONMENT OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES

Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the article is to scientific substantiation of the functional value of green tourism with an emphasis on the possibilities of innovation activity. Methodology of the research. General scientific and special methods were used in the process of research: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, generalization - to formulate the theoretical content of green tourism; systematization and classification - for the allocation of basic functions of green tourism, services, subjects, types of green innovations; statistical analysis - to determine trends in the number of business entities in the field of green tourism; graphic method - for presentation in the form of figures and tables of individual research results. Findings. The content of green tourism and its distinction from rural tourism was formulated, spatial aspects of its implementation, consumer segments, subjects of management are specified. The main functions of green tourism are systematized and innovations function among them. The possibilities of innovative activity in the field of green tourism, in particular, the introduction of production, technological and institutional innovations were substantiated. Originality of the research consists of the scientific substantiation of the functional value of green tourism, including in the direction of innovation activity. Theoretical bases of research of green tourism are improved. The content of a number of terms and concepts has been clarified. Practical value of the research lies in improving the theoretical foundations of the study of green tourism and formulating practical recommendations for priority types of green innovations - production, technological and institutional. Theoretical and methodological significance consists in refining the content of a number of terms and concepts. Practical significance reflects the actualization of applied research on the implementation of various innovative ideas and solutions in the field of green tourism.
