HARMONIZATION OF UKRAINIAN LEGISLATION IN THE FIELD OF THE RIGHT TO DEFENCE IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS WITH THE STANDARDS OF THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation in the field of the right to defence in criminal proceedings with the standards of the International Criminal Court. The relevant norms of the Statute, Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Criminal Court, the CPC of Ukraine, as well as the international law and national criminal-procedural doctrine related to the subject of research are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the harmonization of the elements of the right to defence.
