HIERARCHY OF VALUES OF MOUNTAIN SCHOOL PUPILS OF UKRAINIAN CARPATHIANS

Abstract
The impact of landscape and geographic as well as socio-cultural features of mountain region on the formation of value orientations of the growing up personality are grounded. The results of the experimental research of value orientations of modern pupils in the mountain area of the Ukrainian Carpathians (on the example of schools in Nadvirna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region) are submitted. It is stated that in the hierarchy of values the priority for teenagers are vital and hedonistic values (family, health, love, life comfort). It is investigated that in the mountainous region religious traditions are sufficiently preserved, that is why more than half of respondents pointed on religious values. It is confirmed that for young residents of mountain area of Ivano-Frankivsk region ethical categories like family, love, faith in God, health, friendship comprised top five most important values. This catalogue is supplemented with wisdom, peace, education, justice, respect. It is confirmed that there is clear distinction in the choice of values by gender: gnoseological values or the values of knowledge are more popular with boys and girls are naturally more focused on values of family comfort, own home, family welfare and children happiness, home harmony
