HIPERSEGMENTAÇÕES EM QUE A LETRA “A” APARECE DISSOCIADA DO RESTANTE DA PALAVRA: IDIOSSINCRASIA OU TENDÊNCIA?[1]

Abstract
work aimed: (1) check if children, in general, tend to separate the first letter of words beginning with the letter “a”; (2) try to explain about what linguistic factors would be responsible for the emergence of this sort of unconventional segmentation. To achieve these goals, we analyzed 17 children textual productions. This analysis was divided into two parts: one quantitative and another qualitative. The findings on the first part allowed us to consider that; maybe, this movement is a necessary step on the children’s journey until they achieve the conventional writing. On the second step, by the other hand, we could perceive that, besides each explanatory hypothesis this occurrence by a different view, all of them admit that children base themselves in oral and literacy practices to solve their “problems” on writing.
