ЯЙЦЕ В ТРАДИЦІЙНИХ ВІРУВАННЯХ УКРАЇНЦІВ ЗАКАРПАТТЯ (ЗА ПОЛЬОВИМИ МАТЕРІАЛАМИ)

Abstract
Based on the field ethnographical author’s materials and involving of wide circle of ethnographical data end of XIX – XX centuries are considered a semantics of an egg in the traditional belief of Ukrainians of Transarpathia . The separate attention is drawn for “znosok” because of it has been remarked as forerunner of the misfortunes and troubles. Therefore tried to get rid of its by using of various magical ceremonies. Therewith is considered the connection of “znosok” with its genesis of demonological character- nurseling which is well- known in demonological belief of Ukrainians of ethno historical Transcarpathia. An attempt is making to illuminate of meteorological divination with egg using and its relation with calendar ritual. In the mentioned entries makes special attention on apotropic properties of egg. Which has been using in protection of the firstborn cow against the “bad eyes” of the witches. The fried egg is typical for most of Slav’s wedding ceremony especially in the past. It was almost not only one dish which was allowed to eat for fiancé and bride at the wedding. The main focus is made on symbolic of wedding, Easter egg dishes, because of the transformational processes in the contemporary society, the globalization influence lead to reducing of egg’s usage like ceremonial dish. An attempt is made to follow the ritual, magic and protected functions of painted Easter egg, its role and place in line of the funeral ceremony. The painting of the Easter eggs to be marked as holiness, close to the religion ritual. In the article is provided examples of egg’s peel use which was endowed with magic power. With its assistance conducted specified ceremony with returning of exchanged child. On this basing lies belief that female demon like povitrulya, viternytsa, perelesnytsa perform substitution of children. This bartered kid does not grow, speak, bad eats, only lies. Therefore, to such children were used the magical act what helped to expose the exchanged child and to force of returning to the real one.
