Abstract
The article is devoted to the place of Transcarpathian's history in the scientific heritage of Ivan Hranchak. The author highlighted professor's ability to define the most topical problems in the regional history and study them following the highest scientific standards. Also the role of Ivan Hranchak in development of holistic works on the history of Transcarpathia is demonstrated
