Ichtiofauna dorzecza Baudy oraz mniejszych cieków uchodzących do Zalewu Wiślanego

Abstract

To evaluate fish composition and abundance in several streams flowing into the Vistula Lagoon, the electrofishing method was applied in 37 sampling sites. A total of 23 species have been identified and the most numerous fish was brook minnow (36.8%). The most common species were stone loach (78.4%), and several lithophils and speleophils, i.e. brook lamprey (56.8%), brook minnow (54.1%) and bullhead (51.4%). Rheophils were most abundant in natural-channel streams with the lowest degree of degradation, mainly in the Banówka and Omaza Rivers and several tributaries of the Bauda River and the Lisi Parów and Okrzejka Streams. Fish migration from the Lagoon, including alien Neogobius melanostomus, has been observed in the lower part of the Bauda and other investigated streams. The disappearance of Salmo trutta in some streams was also reported.
