Ichtiofauna lewobrzeżnych dopływów polsko-białoruskiego odcinka Bugu: systemy rzeczne Włodawki i Hanny
Journal Title: Roczniki Naukowe Polskiego Związku Wędkarskiego - Year 2010, Vol 23, Issue
Abstract
The fish fauna of the Włodawka and Hanna River systems, tributaries of the Polish-Belorussian section of the Bug River, was investigated in August 2009. At 27 sampling sites a total of 1548 individuals representing 27 species were collected by electrofishing. The dominant reproductive guilds were phytolithophils and phytophils. None of lithophilic species was recorded. Aquatic environment in all studied rivers was strongly human-impacted, mostly by altering of water systems (land drainage causing water deficits and in consequence lowering of ground water level and drying up of large areas) as well as channel regulation and water pollution. In comparison to previous data the species richness decreased in the Włodawka River system, while it increased in the Hanna River. Four alien species were recorded: common carp Cyprinus carpio, giebel Carassius gibelio, brown bullhead Ameiurus nebulosus and topmouth gudgeon Pseudorasbora parva.
