Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 8
Abstract
To determine the effects of applying information technology on human resources, the effects of various parameters were studied, and then the effect of applying IT on the effectiveness are considered through the use of hypothesis testing; with a case study in the Teen Co. (aka Damdaran Co.), two different questionnaires were prepared: The first questionnaire was intended for employees and managers in organizations which was distributed among 132 employees and managers. The t-test results implied that applying IT has direct effect on the effectiveness of various factors in the field of human resources; hence, the second questionnaire was distributed between industry experts. Expert Choice software package and decision models (AHP - Analytical Hierarchy Process) were used to rank the measures, which led to ranking 8 out of 12 selected measures on the basis of t-test; next, the 4 remaining measures were removed due to being rejected in the hypothesis test. Finally, 2 out of those 8 measures were investigated as the main measures: Reducing the amount of paperwork and red tape, and working speed have been chosen by more than 45% of total priorities.
