Impact of Moisture Sorbed from Air by Activated Carbon Electrodes on their Capacitance in Aqueous Electrolyte of Supercapacitor

Journal Title: Фізика і хімія твердого тіла - Year 2015, Vol 16, Issue 3

Abstract

Impact of moisture sorbed from air by porous carbon electrodes after vacuum drying on their specific capacitance in aqueous 1.0 M Na2SO4 solution was studied. It was shown by cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy that electrodes lose more than 20 % of the capacitance after such drying procedure and in order to recover it takes about 1 month.
