IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF THE MODERN NATION‑STATE IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The history of our country has suffered many misrepresentations, distortions, subjectivity. In the process of state development there were neglected real existing, objective, factual acquisitions of the Ukrainian people, which have been repeatedly used as a mean of violent establishment of illegal government, devoid of the historical succession and legitimacy. That is why the development and strengthening of the Ukrainian state should be based on principles of national solidarity, social and historical justice, the authoritative hierarchy and personal responsibility of the citizens for performance of their duties. The motive force towards change has to become a national idea – recognition of our own national unity, self-reliance, respect for other nations and people. Implementation of the national idea with its components – language, culture, traditions will help to create a qualitatively new concept of state development, also taking into account historical experience and achievements of world civilization. Contemporary scientific developments of legal and political scientists show the need to intensify efforts aimed at political consolidation of the citizens of Ukraine around common national interests and cultural values, preservation of the national peace.
