IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW BASEL III STANDARDS IN UKRAINE. NECESSITY OR POPULISM?

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the relevance of introducing new Basel III standards in the context of Ukrainian banks capital regulation. The urgency of this issue is due to the need to restore the stability of the banking system of Ukraine with the help of new international standards, which purpose is to increase the stability of banks and protect the rights and interests of financial market participants.
