IMPLICATIONS OF CSR IN THE ROMANIAN ENERGY SECTOR

Abstract
The paper presents data regarding the extent, content and socio-economical significance of activities developed in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR), by the companies operating in Romanian energy sector. Using information published in the open sources, there are given systematized information regarding the actions taken in this domain, the projects already carried out in the last decade, the allocated budgets, the main reported results, as well as the future perspectives. These are used to deduce conclusions regarding the social responsibility manifested by the firms acting in the Romanian energy sector, their concerns and the directions of their involvement in community problems.
