IMPLICATIONS OF ROMANIAN SOCIAL ECONOMY ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract
Because of the international notoriety of social entrepreneurship, there is an increased awareness of the role in the development of any sustainable economy. This concern was materialized in various initiatives of social entrepreneurs, lunching Social Economy Organizations, with the purpose of social value creation in a sustainable way. Social Entrepreneurship in emerging countries must be provided with favourable conditions, sustained by clear measures implemented both at macro- and micro- level. A functional and dynamic social economy leads to job creation, community development, social inclusion, and social value creation. This article provides an overview on the state of Social Economy in Romania, by illustrating relevant example in the field, and by presenting an overview of the role of the enterprises owned by SEOs in addressing sustainability, social and economic value.
